Wool & White Feathers

Battling social conventions. Finding love in war.

Ordinary People, Extraordinary Circumstances

Identical twins. Irreconcilable choices.

Across generations of the Porteous family, a story of love, mystery and betrayal…

Elizabeth and Joan Porteous might be twins but their similarities are few. Each navigates the intricate world of 1917 Brisbane society. At an age when they should be falling in love for the first time, they watch the boys they’ve grown up with leave for war. Each must take on their own role in re-shaping their world. Each will be changed forever.

They will battle the conventions of society, the expectations of their mother and a devastating betrayal that will

create a 100 year-old mystery.

In the mid-90’s, Charlotte leaves a high-flying career as an international photojournalist behind to care for her grandmother Elizabeth. As Charlotte's concern for her grandmother's health grows, memories of a past love haunt Elizabeth. Can Charlotte uncover the truth behind this mystery man? Is she ready for the implications it could have on her own future?
